Category: Assateague Island National Park

A picture of my mom. She’s sitting on what remains of a asphalt road that used to run all the way to the end of the dunes. According to one of the signs in the park, the road was wrecked by a big storm in the early 1960s.

I spent last weekend with my family at Ocean City, MD. We wandered around Assateague Island National Park for a few hours taking pictures. This shot is an example of what happens when trees grown in an area that’s windy almost all the time.

I took this shot on our way out of the park. As much time as we spent there that day, this was only the second horse we saw that was close enough to take a good picture of. As you can tell, this one is pregnant, and hungry enough to ignore the two other cars of people who pulled over to take pictures.
